Scraps of paper with scribbled lists and lone sticky notes start to get me down instead of organized. You can save money, wasted time and a bit of sanity when you get in the habit of making your to-do-list online. I've been testing out new organizational methods and came across a couple of stand outs.

Evernote.com
Create your own (super-organized) virtual scrapbooks for virtually anything - business ideas, recipes, your personal and business to-do-lists. You can type a text note, clip a web page, snap a photo or grab a screenshot. Skip the printer and use the web clipper to drag items into your online notebook.  And, you can assign tags to each entry for easy searchability. Best of all - it's FREE!

Jott.com
If you're always on the go, this is the choice for you. The Jott Assistant (and who doesn't want an assistant?) allows you to use your voice to capture notes & to-dos, set reminders and appointments, send email and text messages, and post to your favorite web services, all on the go and with one simple call. The voice-to-text service turns your voice notes, messages, and updates into text and sends them where you want. Prices start at $3.95 per month.

Backpack.compen and ink
Use this tool to organize a small business. You can collaborate with colleagues or employees; you can add notes, to-dos, files, photos, and dividers to a Backpack Page; you can send emails or email file attachments to Backpack and they’ll automatically appear on your pages; and you can receive email & text message reminders. The basic plan starts at $24 per month for up to 6 users, and they currently have a special offer: Save 20% off your first month when you use coupon code BPSIGNUP.

Now you can conquer those to-do's with ease and never wonder again, "now, where did I write that down?"
